Heading To A Festival? Hot Trends To Try Now!

Festival season is within touching distance, and this means it’s time to try out some fresh and funky new looks. If you’re counting down the days until festival fever hits, here are some of the hottest trends to try now.

Braids
Nothing screams festival hair like braids. There are so many different styles you can try, and there’s something to suit every taste and hair type. If you have thick hair, go for angel braids or half-up, half-down styles. If you have fine, flyaway hair, braid the front section and pin it back behind your ear. Use a curling tong to create relaxed curls. If you’re on site and you’ve packed light, plait your hair before you go to sleep for Boho waves the next day. Once you’ve got your braids in place, add a flower crown or a beaded band to finish off the look.

Glitter
Festivals are the perfect excuse to try out new makeup trends and go for bold looks. Using glitter with makeup is a fun way to make a statement at any festival. Mix glitter with eyeshadow or nail varnish for a subtle look. Or go all-out with glittery body paint or a sparkly pout. If you’re dressing up, use stencils to create ornate glitter patterns on your arms, back or cheeks. You can also add glitter to your hair parting to create a quirky and unique hair style.

Cold shoulders
Festival fashion offers something different every summer, which is great news for style chameleons. Now is the chance to be a little more daring than normal and embrace a laid-back attitude to styling. This summer, cold shoulders are everywhere, and this is a great look to try for festival season. Team a slouchy top with ripped denim shorts, statement sandals, and plenty of bangles. Or go for a prairie look with a folk-style dress, oversized shades, and fringed ankle boots.

Denim
Denim is a style staple, but festival season brings it to the fore like nothing else. This season, you can choose from pretty much any denim item you like. From patchwork jeans and A-line skirts to Daisy Dukes and dungarees, denim fans have free reign. If you’ve got an old pair of jeans lying around, why not customise them with patches, badges or rips? Embroidered jeans are also a hot trend for spring/summer 2016.

Bright eyes
If you’re usually fairly reserved when it comes to eye makeup, now is your chance to play around with colour. Go for neon brights or bold shades, such as blues or greens. Alternatively, add neon dots, jewels or printed flowers or stars around the eyes to complete your look.
