Where to stay in Dorset

Hi everyone,

How are you all?

You know I love to travel and its time to book another trip. Yeah! We have decided it time to treat the in-laws to a little trip away. We are travelling down to stay with them in Torbay. Whilst we are there we want to go on a nice break. I have chosen Dorset. It not to far to travel and there is so much to see and do there. Plus my husband is on the Lifeboat crew here and he has gone to Poole for his training at the RNLI lifeboat college and I know my In-laws would love to go visit the lifeboat college.

I know you all love my trip planning post so I thought I had better share this with you. Right accommodation. there will be four of us going. Dogs are going in kennels so are not coming with us.

Must haves checklist

  • Must have two bedroom
  • multiple bathrooms
  • A full kitchen for cooking meals
  • Local Walks
  • Wifi-I have to work
  • Driving distance to historic sites/things to do.
  • near Poole for a lifeboat college visit.

  • I am booking with Wake Dorset cottages They have the best cottages in Dorset and are super professional and affordable. I have only ever had a great experience with them.

    This is Hanbury House

This one is in Swanage. It is near the centre of the town and the steam railway. It ticks all the boxes and more. it has three bedrooms. which one extra bedroom than, We need but that doesn't really matter. Plus we could always ask our aunt and uncle to come with us. Which would be lovely. I love the Victorian house. It is furnished to an incredibly high standard. It actually looks like a dream home. I love the clean decor and finish.

    This one is called Samphire

Again this one is in Swanage. This one is perfectly located near the town and beach.
It has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It has so many amazing features like the gorgeous fireplaces in the bedrooms. I know this one will be my mother in laws favourite as she would love the bathtub above. I am a bit obsessed with the rope light in the bedroom photo above. I need that in my life. Guess what I will be googling after I finish this post. This one ticks all the boxes and more. I don't think my mother in law would want to leave this house.

Last but not least. Ballard View Apartment

WOW, look at the view. This will be my father in laws favourite hands down. You can see right around the bay from Ballard view. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Its an upside down property with the living room upstairs to make the most of these amazing views. It has a wraparound terrace with plenty of seating. What a place to have your morning coffee. This again ticks all the boxes and more.

Oh my goodness, Which one to pick? I think I will have to put it to a family vote. Which would you choose?

I have been loving reading Midlands traveller Travel notes on Dorset Hotspots. Go check her out you won't be disappointed.
