Wow This might just be the nicest Vodka I have ever tried. It is so clean and fresh and well moreish. This is the Oxford Rye Organic Vodka. It is not only tasty but it is is housed in such a lovely bottle and really look luxury and expensive. I actually can't believe how affordable it is and how nice it tastes. I would expect to pay double the price for this Vodka.
What the brand saysPresented in a stylish, wax-dipped, bottle, Oxford Rye Organic Vodka is a double-gold medal winning spirit from the heart of ‘the city of dreaming spires’.
Distilled in two magnificent, Steampunk-esque, stills called ‘Nautilus’ and ‘Nemo’, it’s the debut vodka from The Oxford Artisan Distillery – itself the city’s first ever distillery. An exceptionally smooth and creamy spirit, the vodka is filtered, unusually, through coconut shell charcoal and is described as having ‘subtle hints of spice and warm caramel’.
It’s one of a range of spirits produced by the firm, which is one of Britain’s very few ‘grain-to-glass’ distilleries (those who grow and distil their own grain, as opposed to buying in neutral spirit). It’s also unique in being the only one in Britain to use ancient heritage grains that had commonly been used until the late 19th century. Now resurrected by the distillery, these grains are grown in vibrant, genetically diverse, fields, within 50 miles of Oxford - employing a super-sustainable practice known as ‘regenerative’ farming, which is a step on from simply being organic.
This is the Writers Tears Copper Pot Irish Whiskey a stunning choice for any whiskey drinker. Impress the dad in your life with a unique and surprising whiskey choice.
Writers Tears Copper Pot Bottling Note
Writers Tears is a light, sweet Irish whiskey made using a mix of single pot still and single malt whiskeys, resulting in oodles of honeyed, fruity notes. Wonderfully easy to drink, it would make for a great introduction to Irish whiskey for folks new to the spirit.
