A few years ago, luxury to me was all about the dream purchases. The handbags I would endlessly add to my basket on Net-a-Porter, the watches I would stare at online for hours, and the designer shoes I convinced myself I absolutely needed despite having nowhere glamorous enough to wear them.
And honestly? Not much has changed.
I still love looking at luxury fashion and beauty pieces when I want to switch off for a while. There’s something weirdly relaxing about scrolling through beautiful handbags, classic watches, and timeless designer pieces after a busy day. Especially now trends move so fast online, I think I appreciate classic luxury even more than I did back in 2018.
These days I’m probably more thoughtful about what I’d actually spend money on. I care more about timeless pieces, cost per wear, and buying things I genuinely love rather than just trends. But there are still a few dream items that have stayed firmly on my ultimate luxury wish list for years.
Some of them are classics. Some are completely impractical. Some I still regret not buying when they were cheaper.
And if my lottery numbers ever come up, this is exactly where the money would be going.
Updated for 2026: I originally wrote this luxury wish list years ago, but some of these dream designer pieces are still firmly on my radar today, so I thought it was time for a refresh.
Has Luxury Fashion Changed?
I actually think social media has completely changed how we look at luxury now compared to when I first wrote this post.Back then, designer fashion felt more aspirational and timeless. Now trends move so quickly through TikTok and Instagram that some luxury items almost feel disposable, which is wild considering the prices.
That’s probably why I’m drawn more towards classic pieces these days. Bags you could still wear in ten years. Watches that feel like jewellery and art combined. Good tailoring. Beautiful fabrics. Pieces that still feel elegant regardless of trends.
I also think luxury means something different now too. Sometimes it’s not even about the most expensive thing anymore. It’s about quality, craftsmanship, and buying something you truly love rather than just what’s viral for five minutes online.
Louis Vuitton Neverfall £995. Available direct from Louis Vuttion. This is the bag that got away from me. I almost bought one and I talked myself out of it. This is when they came in a £650. I have regretted this every day since.
Rolex Day Date 36 Ladies Rose gold $36,020 available here

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN Amazoubille 120 studded leather sandals £1,145
Final Thoughts
Will I suddenly wake up tomorrow with a wardrobe full of old money classics like Chanel, Rolex and Jimmy Choo? Probably not.
But honestly, I think half the fun of luxury wish lists is the dreaming part anyway.
I love seeing how my taste changes over the years, what pieces I still adore, and what trends I’ve completely moved on from. And even now, years later, there are still items on this list I would buy in a heartbeat.
Maybe one day. Until then, I’ll still be online adding them to my basket and pretending I’m about to check out and still curbing my designer beauty and luxury hair care obcession until I can buy my wish list.
Are luxury designer bags worth the money?
I think it really depends on the bag and how much you’ll actually use it. Some classic designer bags hold their value surprisingly well over time, especially timeless styles from brands like Chanel and Louis Vuitton. For me, luxury is more about buying pieces you genuinely love rather than following trends.
Why are Rolex watches considered luxury investments?
Rolex watches are known for their craftsmanship, heritage, and long-term value. Certain styles can even increase in price over time, which is why so many people see them as both a fashion piece and an investment. I also just think they feel timeless in a way very few watches do.
What luxury fashion pieces never go out of style?
Classic handbags, well-made tailoring, simple designer heels, and elegant watches always seem to stay stylish regardless of trends. I personally love pieces that still look chic years later rather than anything that only feels fashionable for one season.
