The best outdoor clothing - Helly hansen women's clothing review

Today I have a review for you but before we go into the review, I want to tell you my unique connection with the brand Helly Hansen. You may not know this as I don't really talk about it much. I am an active volunteer for the RNLI. I have actually been involved in fundraising for the RNLI since I could hold one of those little lifeboat collection cans.

When I moved to this lovely seaside village My husband was lucky enough to join the crew of the Mallaig lifeboat. Yes, he is a police officer too. I think he likes emergency services. Anyways. I restarted my volunteering here in the fundraising committee then moved into the RNLI shop here in Mallaig. I will get back down to the shop once we are allowed to open up again and get back to making some much-needed funds for the RNLI.  You can see the RNLI is close to my heart I grew up with a deep-sea fisherman as a father and lived in a fishing village much like the one I am live in today. Once a highland girl and all that.

The RNLI is such an important part of the Highland of Scotland and the UK. I live in a working fishing village. We have lots of active fishing boats and a bustling harbour.  Our lifeboat is not only used for the normal lifeboat call-outs like ships and boat rescue it has another very important use. Mallaig is surrounded by remote islands the small island and Knoydart which has no road access to the mainland.  These places need the lifeboat to get medical help to the community. The lifeboat is used to transport paramedics to these rural communities and then as an away to get the inured to the ambulances for transportation to the hospital for treatment. You can say as a village we love our lifeboat.

As you can see My heart is with the RNLI. I will not go into the brave crew who risk their lives to save others. As we all know that our emergency services in this country are amazing. Right back to business.
Today I am reviewing clothes by Helly Hansen. This fantastic brand has committed to working with the RNLI for the next 5 years. I would like to take a minute to say I have seen all the kit my husband and the other crew have received as part of this and the kit is amazing. Helly Hansen is already known worldwide for its incredible sailing gear so for them to partner with the RNLI is just incredible. I have to say I was very jealous when I saw my husbands new kit but now he is jealous of my lovely need clothes.

My review posts are always photo heavy as I love to take photos in review items. So this is a half review and half photobook.

First outfit.
Helly Hansen -W campfire pants Size M £80
These are perfect summer hiking trousers. They are lightweight and breathable. You have complete freedom of movement in these trousers making hiking easy with no clinging material. I like the light grey colour I received as it can go with any other colour you want to team it with. With all Helly Hansen, you can tell the quality and design that goes into these trousers.  It's just the little things that let you know this brand really thinks about its clothes.

The W campfire trousers have cuffed ankles which are crucial in the Highland this keeping the ticks and other insects away from your legs. There is a drawstring waist making the sizing customisable.  Plenty of pockets, two on the hip and cargo pockets on the legs. I was caught out in the rain and I can tell you these are really quick drying and keep their shape too. They wash really well and dry in no time which is an added bonus. They are the perfect hiking pants. I might need to get them in another colour.

Helly Hansen - W HH Lifa Merino Crew size Small. £70.
This is a base layer with a difference. It is 100% Merino wool and it is made for cool weather. Which up here we get a lot of that is for sure. I love the fit of this top it is sug but breathable. I also need to mention the colours are amazing. I have tried this on a very cold day and I have to say it kept me very warm and cosy. Which is no mean feat I am naturally a cold person and it can be tough for me to say warm when out hiking, I have to say this is the best base layer I have found.
What Helly Hansen says HH LIFA MERINO is our warmest base layer, perfect for any type of activity in cold weather. A unique 2-in-1 base layer with 100% merino wool combined with Lifa® Stay Warm Technology in a 2 layer construction. Outfit two.
Helly Hansen - W HH Merino Light Tshirt  £65 size small.
This is the short sleeve sister of the above top. This is again 100% merino wool. It fits like a glove and It looks amazing on. It has natural odour resistance. I think this is the perfect addition to any hikers spring-summer hiking kit. It is really nice to wear, it wicks the sweat away with ease and it looks good. I tested this out on a cool and windy hike and this kept me nice and warm. Again fantastic quality from Helly Hansen. It washes well and retains its shape.
What Helly Hansen says HH® Merino Light are lightweight, 100% merino wool products. The natural fibers, offer great comfort, odor resistance, and breathability. The ideal product for any outdoor activities in the spring/summer.
Helly Hansen - W Aden Pant £60 size small.
These waterproof trousers are the ones you need to buy. If you are in the market for waterproof trouser these are the best. I can say this full-heartedly being a Highland girl I go out in every type of weather. A little bit of water will not stop me. I have over the years had a lot of waterproof trouser. I think I am somewhat of an expert and is there anywhere better than the Scottish Highland to test these out. Where to start they fit amazing these are not too baggy not too tight. They are easy to quickly pop on and stuff down to very small perfect for your rucksack. They have been on me in some of the Highland worst storms and I have stayed nice and dry and most importantly warm. They are breathable water and windproof and fully sealed against the worst of the weather. It has a really nice mesh lining wicking the sweat away from your legs and making them really nice to walk in. I would highly recommend you get some of these for your next adventure.
What Helly Hansen says Great-fitting and versatile HELLY TECH® pants for women to match our best-selling Aden jacket. Waterproof, breathable and windproof with fully sealed seams to protect you against the elements. The quick-dry, lightweight lining adds comfort in both warm and cold weather.

I hope you have enjoyed my little review and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
