5 Times To Consider Bespoke Clothing

Most of the clothing we buy is mass-produced. Bespoke clothing typically costs more and so few of us consider it. But there are many times when it can be beneficial to invest in bespoke clothing. Below are 5 examples of instances in which you may want to look into custom-made garments.

Fitted suits

For formal occasions when you want to look your best, it’s worthwhile owning a tailored suit. Off-the-rack options rarely cater to the unique contours of our body, leading to discomfort and making us appear less polished. A bespoke suit can be designed by a tailor to not just fit impeccably, but also reflect your personal style. Such a suit could be ideal for looking your best at a wedding or even helping you to create a great impression at a job interview.

Wedding dresses

For many women, a wedding dress is the most important dress they will ever wear. While lots of brides buy pre-made dresses, these dresses typically require some alterations. Some women decide that no pre-made dress is to their liking and they instead hire a dressmaker to create a custom dress for them. Such a dress could allow you to look just as envisioned on your special day (although you may still want to try on a few dresses for inspiration).

Work uniforms

Bespoke clothing isn’t just for special occasions. If you run your own company and have a team of employees, investing in a bespoke work uniform could be a great way to enhance professionalism. There are companies that can produce branded clothing for you in the style you desire. Such outfits could contain your logo and other company information such as your website address - serving as a form of marketing as well as help customers to easily identify your employees.

Club outfits

Part of a sports team or a social club? Investing in club outfits for everyone to wear could create a sense of unity and camaraderie. Like a work uniform, this could contain the name of your club and a logo (if you have one). Even if your club doesn’t take part in any competitions or isn’t particularly serious, club outfits could still be a fun way to bring everyone together. You could even give them a humorous touch such as printing each person’s nickname on their t-shirt.

Personalized gifts

Bespoke clothing can also make for a great personalized gift. There are companies that can help you design and produce custom clothing from monogrammed socks to funny t-shirts with personalised photos printed on. You could even craft an item of clothing yourself - if you’re able to knit or crochet, consider setting yourself the challenge of knitting a scarf or a sweater. Such clothing can make a very thoughtful gift - the time and effort poured into it can be a great way of showing someone how much they mean to you, plus you can make it truly unique. Accessories like jewellery may also be possible to craft yourself if you have the time, skill and patience.
