Easy and hassle free long wearing wedding foundation

Today we are chatting about wedding make-up. We are in full swing of summer wedding season and the temperature is rising and I have been on a mission to find the best foundation for the summer wedding season. I have struggled to find something that will stay on all day and not clog my pores or slide off my face in the heat. I know it's the dream foundation scenario I mean you would think this would be an easy task but I have to spend a lot of time and my hard-earned money trying to find one.

So I am over the moon to share with you my find. First I must admit I was looking in the wrong places for a long time. I have combination skin, which makes finding a product a nightmare. You see my skin changed with the weather one day it will be dry, the next it's not, then it's oily then back to normal.

I also like a lighter coverage that doesn't cling to my fine lines and pore. Ok, I admit it I want a lot, don't I?

But the lovely people over at Jane Iredale have sent me one of their starter kits and boy have I fallen in love with this foundation but what is very strange for me is that it's a mineral foundation. So lets talk about it.

Available in four shades: Light (Warm Silk), Medium Light (Warm Sienna), Medium (Golden Glow), Medium Dark (Latte) to suit a wide range of skin tones.

I have the shade warm sienna which is medium light. For reference, I have a beige skin tone with a yellow undertone. I am always a darker shade than make-up artists think. I look pale but I am not really that pale.

First I love the packaging It is so nice, and compact and having a full how-to-use guide is super helpful when you are new to a product. I love the illustrations too giving you advice on how to use their product for the optimum effect. Just yes more brands should do this.  Would save me spending hours on youtube.

Inside the box, you get a lovely make-up bag and the following products.

Smooth Affair the primer, this is to moisturise and brighten the skin and prep it for the foundation. This is so luxurious and refreshing to apply to the skin with an instant refreshed look. It sinks right into the skin and left me feeling hydrated and fresh.

Makeup brush for application

Two foundations are Multi-tasking Amazing Base and PurePressed Base.
Let's get into these

This is my before photo. I am swollen I have chronic sinusitis and it is flaring right now. I have some redness as I have been out biking in the sun and you can see a bit of uneven skin tone.

Forst, up we have PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation Which is the hard pan in this kit. It is Devine. As I have said I never use this type of foundation I am normally a cream or serum girl and Now I am a very confused person Is this my holey grail? Should I have found this earlier? This applies lovely with the brush provided and is buildable and so easy to apply. I tried it with one of my bigger foundation brushes and it worked just as well. My nose is photographing red but that is because I didn't put much production on it as I am having a little break out there. Look at my cheeks they are lovely even and covered.

The PurePressed base mineral foundation is the ultimate all-in-one. It is a foundation concealer and sunscreen all rolled into one very handy and clever powder. It can be built up to full coverage too. So the choice is yours.

It didn't settle in my dry skin or my fine lines. It actually goes on with a cream finish I mean what magic is that? It is water resistant for up to 40 minutes also. I haven't tested that yet but you know I will when I am out on the bike.

It lasts all day and stays flawless I mean what more could any bride or wedding guest want in a foundation. I love that this is a one-product fits-all because you could throw it in your bag for top-ups on the big day and you are good to go.

Next up we have the Amazing Base Loose Mineral Powder. This one has a sheer to medium coverage so not as much as the one above. With it being a loose powder, it is not my favourite to use I am a bit of a messy person with loose products. But the product itself might have to make me get over my loose powder messiness.  But again it is a once-product wonder it is a foundation powder and concealer all in one.

This is like the PurePressed base mineral foundation lightweight and completely light on the face giving a I have no make feeling. It has SPF 20/15 with a broad spectrum of UVA/UVB sun protection. Just yes to this SPF is a must for anti-ageing and let's face it for a summer wedding you want some SPF and Again waterproof up to 40 minutes.

I really liked this one two it is definitely a lighter coverage but I am normally a lighter coverage girl. It was covered by redness and didn't settle in any fine. lines or dryness. I am being converted to loose powder. Who am I? I have changed. I would say if anything this one has a slightly more filtered look on the photo which I am here for.

Lastly in the kit, we have POMMIST Hydration Spray. I used this as a setting spray for the foundations. I really love it. It is so refreshing and just absorbs straight into my skin like a dream. It is so hydrating and gives a lovely finish to both powders.

It has added benefits of Pomegranate Extract,  Which is a powerful antioxidant that helps fight free radical production caused by sun exposure. It also delivers powerful antioxidants and it is award-winning having received the Awarded ECOCERT’s Natural and Organic Cosmetic certification.

So my final thought on the Jane Iredale starter kit I honestly think this would be great and a must-have for any bride or wedding guest. It is simply long-lasting and gives incredible results. Did I mention it is cram packed with benefits for your skin too? I have a wedding next weekend this will be what I wear on my skin and have in my bag for touch-ups. I mean that speaks volumes.
