You're Never Fully Dressed Without An Accessory (Or Two)

Hi Everyone

When you’ve been working (and working out) all week, there’s nothing sweeter than getting to Friday or Saturday night, so you can go out and let your hair down. Whether you’re having dinner with friends, or are off to dance the night away; choosing what you’re going to wear and getting ready is all part of the fun. But, remember not to rush out of the door without your finishing touches, and plan your accessories before you leave (they’ll help you look and feel great).

Focus On Your Feet

Your feet might be tired after a hectic week in the office, or running around after the kids; so why not make them feel beautiful when you’re off on a night out. The shoes you decide to wear can pull together your whole outfit, and could infuse a pop of color and pattern into your final look.

Shoes are a chance for you to be playful and show off your fun Friday-side, and don’t worry; they don’t have to be six-inch stilettos (unless you want them to be of course). There are so many gorgeous flats and mid-heel height shoes available, all of which are fashion-forward, and will complete your outfit beautifully. Try and invest in a few pairs that you know will cover all bases when it comes to what clothes you’re wearing and how important your comfort levels are for the evening ahead.

Adorn Your Figure

When you’ve got your clothes and shoes on, you can’t leave out your neck, wrists, ears, and fingers! They deserve to feel just as beautiful; even if it’s not all at the same time. Whether it’s fine jewelry or costume, the shiny and sparkly touches you add at the end of getting ready can make all the difference. Before you (or a loved-one) invest in any fine jewelry, try and figure out what shade and finish are best for your skin tone, and, more importantly, which you like the most. Maybe a cool silver or platinum make your eyes light up, or you prefer the warmth of a gold vermeil finish to your necklaces and rings; either way, it’ll be fun when you go to try on a few things, to see what suits you the best.

Statement and costume bangles, neck pieces, and rings are an excellent way to introduce the very latest in fashion trends to your wardrobe, as they won’t cost a fortune, and you can layer them up to reflect your personal style. Have fun mixing and matching different pieces in the mirror to see what works and what doesn’t. Then pop them on and walk out your door with confidence.

Wrap Up Your Belongings

Now, you’re fully dressed and accessorized from head to toe; however, you can’t forget your purse, makeup, keys, and phone! You need the right bag, that will carry all your precious essentials, and complement your outfit of choice. Much like all the accessories discussed previously, your handbag is a great way to add some playful fun, bright color, and on-trend pattern to your attire. Maybe you want more bling, so you choose an embellished clutch style, or perhaps you want a classic leather bag, but in a bright hue; the possibilities are endless. For some fun evening bag options, take a look here.

Whatever you decide to accessorize with; have fun in finding stuff, and take advantage of a great excuse to go shopping!

Top 6 Pieces of Gym Equipment For Your Home

Hi everyone,

Having a home gym would be a dream come true for many of us. But if you don’t have the space or budget to fill your house with treadmills and rowing machines, don’t despair! A huge amount of the most effective equipment doesn’t have to take up too much room or stretch your bank balance. So, let’s take a look at some essential home gym equipment out there to help you get fit for summer.

One of the most versatile pieces of equipment out there, a good set of dumbbells should be right near the top of your list of items. There are literally hundreds of different exercises that you can do, and if you invest in some adjustable ones, you can increase the amount of weight over time so you are always improving. Try to complete your exercises in front of a mirror so you are confident that you are using the proper technique.

Pull Up Bar

It may seem strange to say, but pull up bars don’t have to be just for pull ups! There are a few different exercises that you can try, along with the classic technique itself. It is worth checking out some pull up bar reviews before you settle on one that is right for you and your home. There are some that you can put above your doorways, and these have the added advantage of always providing you with a reminder to do some every time you walk through!

Jump Rope

If you are looking for an affordable and lightweight piece of equipment to do some cardio work, look no further than a jump rope. If you haven’t jumped rope for a number of years, you may be surprised to find out that it seems a lot harder than when you were a kid. It also has the added benefit of improving your coordination and sense of balance. A durable rope is the best option if you are a beginner, while a lighter option is better to increase your speed.

Medicine Ball

A medicine ball is another fantastically versatile piece of equipment, providing you with a tool to work on your core strength. Just some of the common workouts include throwing it, carrying it or doing abdominal exercises. If you are doing exercises where you a throwing it about, you are better off choosing a softer and lighter model.

Probably one of the most popular pieces of equipment that has emerged in the last couple of years, kettlebells provide you with some workouts that you simply can’t do with other similar items. Try to choose some with some big, smooth handles to give you the best grip.

Exercise Mat

A whole range of stretching and flexibility workouts require and exercise mat to give you a good base. If you are planning to go for some high-intensity workouts, it is better to choose one with thick cushioning. However, a thinner one is the better choice if you are planning to do yoga on it.

5 Neat Natural Ways To De-Stress

Say Farewell To Anxiety: 5 Neat Natural Ways To De-Stress

According to Newsweek, stress, depression, and anxiety is at an all-time high in America. It begins in grade school. Children are given more school work to learn than in years past. They are also involved in sports, pageants, clubs, and have a full social life. Parents work full time and rush to get their children to all of these activities. Between career, family, and community, there is never enough time for rest and recovery.

We have composed a few natural ways you can de-stress your life. By following these tips and eating well, you can bring your body back to the beautiful balance it was created to be.

  • Practice breathing. We know you are rolling your eyes and thinking, “really”? But hear us out. Every part of your brain and other vital organs require adequate oxygen and circulation to function properly. When we are stressed, our bodies go into a “fight or flight” mode. Our breath gets shallow and we breathe very fast. We are on high alert. By forcing ourselves to breathe properly, we force our bodies to relax.
    • Place your hand on your stomach, Breathe in deeply through the mouth until you feel your hand fill with the air in your stomach. While you are inhaling, count to 8, slowly.
    • Then begin to exhale. Exhale through your nose, until your stomach has gone flat indicating the air is out. This is important. While you exhale, count slowly to 10. As you get better at this you will increase the numbers, but the inhale number must be lower than your exhale number.
  • Take Nootropics. Nootropics are also called smart drugs. However, they actually are all-natural supplements that improve the health of your brain. Corpina is a leader in this industry. Nootropics improve focus, concentration, memory, and mood. They remove toxins that attack the brain and lower inflammation. They improve the circulation to the brain and regulate Dopamine, which is the natural feel-good chemical our brains make. There are several nootropics. Some improve sleep and relaxation. Some relieve depression. Nootropics are all natural ways that eliminate the need for harsh prescription drugs. Adderall and Ritalin are no longer needed, as there are natural alternatives that are healthy and effective. The need for anxiety medications like Xanax and Valium are no longer required for stress.
  • Get a massage. A massage is a great tool for relaxation. It is so powerful, that some companies hire experts to come to the office and massage the neck and shoulders of their employees. Invest in a massage at least twice a month. If you cannot afford it, check out some techniques in library books and practice make it a date night for you and your partner to treat each other.
  • More self-love. We must take the time to reward ourselves. Give yourself an atta-girl every now and then. Share this habit with your family. Once a week, have movie night, game night, or taco night. Order some special candy from an online candy store. They can ship these goodies directly to you, and you can pull the yummy candy out for your special night. A little treat does wonders to de-stress and help you appreciate yourself.
  • Disconnect. Your newly found focus will need exercise and practice. Like anything else, we must use it in order to grow it. Step one is to disconnect everything for a little while each day. Start with 30 minutes, slowly increase it to an hour or so per day. During this time your cell phone. Computer, tablet, and any other distracting devices are to be disconnected. Over time you will get used to this and even crave your highly focused time.

Your Summer Look- Sorted!

Hi Everyone

The warmer months are possibly the most exciting part of the year. It’s a time where you’re out the most, arranging activities, seeing friends and making memories! And since you’re going to be out doing things often, you will want to ensure you look your best and have your summer look perfected. Here are just a few things you could consider.
Summertime is all about rocking that gorgeous bronzed goddess glow. But we all know that baking in the sun or hitting the sunbeds is incredibly damaging. For this reason, fake tan is definitely your friend. Give your body a thorough exfoliation and moisturise to prep your skin, and then apply with a tanning mitt to avoid the beauty cardinal sin- fake than hands! You might need to experiment with different tans, find one that works best for you. You might find you get along with different formulations (mousse, cream, spray) better than others
Nothing looks more stunning with a tan than a set of pearly white teeth! A beautiful smile is the perfect accessory all year round, but in the summer when you want to look your best it’s especially nice. You could visit the dentist for whitening trays or laser teeth whitening, although these can be somewhat pricey. There are a number of products you can use at home which can really bring up the colour of your teeth and remove surface stains so are well worth a try. You could visit Teeth Whitening at Home Tips for more information about the best products to use.
Over the warmest months you will want to keep your makeup quite light, but that certainly doesn’t mean you have to skip applying it! Instead of a heavy foundation, you could choose a mineral powder or a BB cream to give you some coverage without clogging pores. A cream blush will give you a dewy glow to your skin, and bring some colour to your face. Neutral smokey eyes using bronzes, golds, browns and taupes look fantastic with a tan over the summer months, finish the look with a nude gloss or lipstick to keep it looking fresh and pretty without being overdone.
If you live in a part of the world where it is only warm for a couple of months of the year, chances are you don’t want to invest in a huge summer wardrobe. For this reason, it’s a good idea to create a ‘capsule wardrobe’. Here you buy a couple of staple pieces- dresses, shorts, jeans and tops- and ensure that each piece works together and can be worn together. If you stick with neutral colours, you will find this easy to do. For shoes, whites and metallics both work well and again means they can be worn with any outfit. That way you can mix and match a few pieces and get different outfits every time, without needing to buy lots of clothes.

Have you sorted your summer look yet?

How to Feel Happy with Your Looks

Hi everyone,
Sometimes we wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and just hate what we see. For some of us, this feeling never goes away, and we spend so much time obsessing over the things we hate about our bodies that we never truly enjoy life and all the great things our bodies can do.

If you aren’t exactly in love with your looks and you want that to change, here are some simple things you can do:

Focus on the Good

No matter what you look like, no matter if you hate your bumpy nose or your wobbly thighs, there are going to be several good things about your body too. You might have beautiful blue eyes, a toned tummy or fabulously shiny hair – focus on these things instead of the few flaws you have, and you will automatically feel better.

Dress to Impress

If you’re having one of those days when you feel fat, or you think that your skin looks bad, instead of obsessing over the perceived problems, get out your makeup kit and put on your war paint. Dress in your favorite clothes and get out there. Taking the effort to groom yourself will give you an instant confidence boost that will help you to feel much happier about the way you look than you would in your ratty old sweats.

Work on Your ‘Flaws'

If you find it impossible to be happy with your looks because you feel like your arms are flabby, start working out with weights, or if you have problems accepting your body because you’re overweight, start researching healthy eating plans and changing your diet to get on top of the problem, you could even consider speaking to someone at ROXY Plastic Surgery if your problem is more difficult to deal with, but it’s having a terrible impact on your life and your self-esteem.

Retrain Your Brain

Most of us are fine just the way we are and it’s our brain that makes us think there’s something wrong with the way we look. In these circumstances, it is important to retrain the brain to be more positive about our looks. You could do this by seeing a counsellor if you have a really big problem with body image, or you could start with a simple exercise where you look in the mirror with appreciation, sending yourself positive thoughts and thinking about all the good things your body can do and how good it looks.

Stop Comparing Yourself

One of the main causes of dissatisfaction with one’s body comes from the comparisons that we all make every day. The fact is, it’s stupid to compare your body to others because there will always be someone with a flatter tummy, longer legs or bigger boobs. So, instead of comparing yourself to others, do your best to feed your body healthy foods, exercise on a regular basis and dress to suit your shape and color. This, more than anything will help you to fall in love with your body once more.

Hidden road trip ideas? @chill_insurance #hiddendrives

Hi everyone,

How are you all?

The lovely people at have asked bloggers what is your favorite #hiddendrives ?. This has given me inspiration to find hidden secret road trip ideas for a trip for me and my husband.

I have never been to Ireland I know its awful and I need to remedy this ASAP.
I Love game of thrones and it is filmed in Ireland I am desperate to go and check out.
The plan would be to fly to Dublin and hire a car to drive to Tollymore forest

This would be a 81 mile drive. Do the walking tour there. Maybe stay in that area for the night and make our way to the giants cause way about 91 miles! One night there and make the return to Dublin for a night then the flight home.

This sound like a great drive to me. Ireland is one of those bucket list places for me. it looks so beautiful it almost can't be true.I honestly cant wait to go to Ireland.  Accommodation is amazing in Ireland and there is something for everyone budget. Id love to spend a month traveling the whole country

We are based in Mallaig and I have to say My favorite #hiddendrives in Scotland has to be Torridon.
This is only 73 miles from us. Which included a ferry ride but the scenery is the best in the country. The drive is like no other. It is mountainous and everything is giant! Be prepared to feel very small indeed. As a mountain biker this is paradise. The rugged landscape and trails are unbeatable for off the beaten track riding. I have to say I am yet to bike Torridan but hope fully this summer. Accommodation in Torridon is in short supply book in to the local hotel or camp.

Living in the highland I think I can take for granted the amazing scenery we have to offer,  To me it is everyday and just to get shopping from a supermarket we travel 40 miles each way. Mallaig to Fort William  is a very popular #hiddendrives in its self. So many people do it, yes it is stunning with the Harry potter bridge in Glennfinnan, The mountains and the sliver sands of Morar beach. I am blessed to live in such a place of beauty.

I love Cornwall and Devon and My favorite drive is to mousehole. We drive from Torquay in Devon to family in Mousehole Cornwall and there is nothing like it. from little county road to the busy Motorways.

I love the drive though Dartmoor with the wild pony's running across the road so wild and barren. Stopping of on route in Plymouth and Falmouth. Looking at the gorgeous sailing boats.

Not forgetting a trip to the Lizard. The most perfect unspoiled beach in Cornwall. There is so much choice in Cornwall from boutique hotels to cozy b&bs accommodation for everyone.

Staying Young Forever Is Impossible, But Looking Great Isn't

Hi everyone,

Staying young forever is impossible. But looking great isn’t. Here are some beauty tips for women no matter what your age.

Use Soft Eye Makeup

Image result for soft eye makeup

While shimmering or glittery eye shadow might be great at drawing attention, it’s probably best to stick with a matte shadow as you get older. Apply the makeup to your eye socket area, but avoid raising your brow. This will help to make the eye area appear bigger and wider, according to Tricia Cusden, a makeup expert from She also suggests widening the makeup area towards the edges of the eyes to make them appear slightly fully.

Apply Daily Primers

Makeup artists that applying makeup directly to the face could sometimes end in disaster, especially if it fell off during the day. As a result, they began using primers as a base layer to help makeup stick. Primers aren’t so important when you’re young. But as you get older and the skin starts to develop fine lines, it becomes more important. Applying a primer will help keep foundation on your skin for longer and prevents lines from forming around areas prone to creasing, like the mouth and the smile lines.

Be Bold With Your Hair

Even if you’re not in your twenties anymore, it doesn’t mean that you can’t have a unique style. Choose a haircut that suits the shape of your face and can be worn in any way you like, no matter what the occasion.

Have A Bedtime Ritual

Image result for moisturising

Websites like point out that as people get older, they begin to lose firmness in the skin on their face and body. That’s why so many experts, including Cusden, recommend that people have a nightly moisturizing ritual. After a long day, especially in the winter, your skin can be dry. Try to lock in moisture while you’re asleep so that your body can repair the damage done during the day, leaving you feeling fresh in the morning. A good long soak in the bath followed by emollient cream should help your skin feel more hydrated.

Regularly Exfoliate Your Face And Body

According to Cusden, of the biggest problems for women in the thirties and beyond is increasing dryness of the skin. All the natural fats that once kept the skin supple are no longer doing their job. As a result, she recommends exfoliation. This, she says, helps the lipids in the skin reach the surface more easily without bits of dead surface skin getting in the way.

Exfoliating too often can damage the skin, she says. And so she recommends that women perform a maximum of two exfoliations each week. This should remove the majority of dead skin and keep the surface of the skin supple.

After exfoliating, it’s a good idea to apply a small amount of moisturizer to loosen and nourish the skin underneath. This not only helps to make skin feel smooth and soft, but it also helps make makeup easier to apply. Look out for scrubs that contain AHAs, as these accelerate skin surface renewal.

Jeff Died

Hi everyone,

It's time to talk about a very sad time in my life. I'm afraid Jeffsy is not more.
I might as well come completely clean. I was full of the cold and jumped in our car not looking on the roof and drove to walk our dogs with my friend Ellen. Not realising Jeff was on the roof I went through a car park barrier. Jeff was fatally injured in the accident. Our car roof and boot had to be replaced also. On another note the barrier was undamaged, I have my home content insurance with the AA the plus one. I have to say they were really good. I had so many updates on Jeff that I couldn't just get the new YT as It would no longer be like for like.
