Easy ways to change up you interior in 2020

Well, spring is right around the corner and with that, I always get the need to spring clean and change things up in my house. Does anyone else? It's a new decade and its time to make some changes. It is so easy to let your house go out of style but I am here to help. It is 2020 and time we all took pride in our home and make it the instagrammable haven it should be. My tips will not break the bank and are super easy to follow.

What do you want?
First, you need to decide what style you want to go with. It is so easy to have no plan when it comes to your home but you need to start to think about your own personal style and what you want your home to look and feel like. Do you want to go retro? Do you want to do minimalist? What is your style? This might seem like a silly thing to say but this is your home. It doesn't matter what is in Vogue it matter what you like. So really take some time to make a plan. This is where you live after all.

Organisation
Before you even think about getting the paintbrush or wallpaper table out. You need to really get to grips with the mess in your home. There is no point in making your home look impeccable if you have nowhere to put your possessions when you are finished right? There are so many easy storage solutions on the market. you really have no excuse to not organise your junk. Don't forget there are lots of storage options already in your home. So don't rush out and buy anything just yet. Think about optimising your own storage. What can you fit under the beds? Can you reorganise your wardrobe? While your reorganising don't forget to have a big clear out. This is not just to get rid of things but  you can easily sell your unwanted items and make some money to put into your home decorations. Win Win right?

Wallpaper and paint
It is so easy to change the feel of a room with the right paint or wallpaper. Come on how many times have you been somewhere and seen really cool wall décor and thought I would love that? Well, what is stopping you? I know I have taken inspiration for my home from luxury hotels before. There are so many amazing patterns and designs available. For a living room, I love a statement wall like the one in the photo above. I think it draws the eye into the room and make the room feel more regal.

For a bedroom, I love Something like this one. I have always loved a nice stag design. Come on you all know I am Scottish. I think this would add a real country feel to any bedroom.

For a downstairs bathroom I like something a bit more novelty. This is so fun and it will have all your guest talking. I mean come on how cool is this print?  Kids will love the fun animals. I mean if this doesn't put a smile on your face I don't know what is wrong with you.

I just find wallpaper gives you a way to really express your creative side. It is also super easy to put up and takedown. This giving you the freedom to change it it every few years.

Throws and cushions
If you have been following me a while you will know I like to switch up my throws and cushion depending on the season. I like warmer colours in the winter month for a more cosy feel and nice bright and fresh colours in summer. Cushion and throws are super cheap and easy to find. I just think it helps you to feel less bored in your home. If you have little things to tweak every now and then.

Photos and art
We are living in the age of the phone. So we all have thousands of photo that we never do anything with. Well, why not get them printed on to canvas? That gorgeous photo of that sunset you seen and had to get the right shot of, That beach photo which wouldnt look out of place in national geographic. it is so easy to make your own arty photographs. So why not give it a shot? It's an easy and affordable way to jazz up your home.

I hope these tips have helped you find your interior design mojo and get your creative hat on to change up your home.
